Repair and Troubleshooting of Electrical Services at Terrell State Hospital

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for the repair and troubleshooting of electrical services at Terrell State Hospital. This initiative aims to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems within the facility, which is crucial for the safety and operational efficiency of the hospital.

Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will have access to any contracts awarded as a result of this Invitation for Bids (IFB).

Work Details
The contractor will provide repair and troubleshooting services for electrical systems at Terrell State Hospital located at 1200 E Brin St., Terrell, TX 75160. Services include:
- Responding to service calls within 30 minutes
- Being onsite within two hours
- Performing regular maintenance during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
- Addressing emergency requests as needed.

The contractor must furnish all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for service delivery. Additionally, all personnel must have relevant experience (minimum three years) and appropriate licenses (at least an Apprentice Electrician License from TDLR). The contractor is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is September 1, 2024. The contract duration is subject to negotiation but will initially cover a period of one year with potential extensions based on performance and need.

Services will be performed at Terrell State Hospital located at 1200 E Brin St., Terrell, TX 75160.
