Purchase of a generator and ATS to include installation

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is responsible for the procurement of goods and services necessary for its operations. This solicitation is issued under the authority of the Texas Government Code 2166.003(B), which pertains to construction projects undertaken by TDCJ.

The goal of this contract is to establish a purchase order for the procurement and installation of a generator and an automatic transfer switch (ATS) to enhance emergency power capabilities at the Cleveland Unit.

Work Details
The contractor will provide one (1) 500kW, 480V, 3-phase diesel-powered generator with a 24-hour fuel capacity base-mounted tank. Additionally, one (1) ATS rated at 1200A, 480V, 3-phase, 4-wire will be supplied.

The scope includes installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code, TDCJ standards, and manufacturer's recommendations. Responsibilities also include startup of equipment to ensure functionality according to manufacturer standards and providing a minimum of two (2) hours of training for up to six (6) TDCJ personnel. The vendor must also handle offloading and installation of the equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as detailed in subsequent communications or amendments related to this solicitation.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Cleveland Unit located in Huntsville, Texas.
