Purchase and installation of HVAC Split system for the South Campus Carpentry Shop of the North Texas State Hospital, Vernon, Texas

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system, responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas.

The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for HHS. This IFB seeks competitive bids for the purchase and installation of an HVAC Split system specifically for the South Campus Carpentry Shop of the North Texas State Hospital located in Vernon, Texas.

Both HHSC and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be entitled to utilize any contract awarded as a result of this IFB.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the purchase and installation of an HVAC Split system at the specified location. The services required include:
- Installation of HVAC equipment according to specifications outlined in Exhibit F (Scope of Work).
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including obtaining necessary permits.
- Provision of all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for installation.
- Performance of services during regular business hours unless otherwise approved by the HHS Agency Contract Manager.
- Responding to service calls within four hours during normal business hours.
- Conducting emergency services as needed, with a response time of one hour for emergencies.
- Ensuring that all personnel assigned to perform work are adequately trained and possess relevant experience in HVAC installation.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award, with performance expected to commence immediately thereafter. Specific timelines for completion will be detailed in the awarded contract.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the South Campus Carpentry Shop of the North Texas State Hospital located at 4730 College Dr., Vernon, TX 76385.
