Description

The City of College Station is soliciting Proposal(s) (RFP's) from firms who are interested and qualified to provide City of College Station Visit College Station with Public Relations and Influencer Marketing services to elevate College Station's brand visibility, drive earned media and strengthen awareness across Texas and the surrounding region. Electronic response packages, in the format prescribed herein, shall be uploaded to Brazos Valley e-Marketplace ( Bidding Portal ) until 2:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 28, 2025. The City of College Station requires comprehensive responses to every section within this RFP. To facilitate the review of the responses, Contractors/Firms shall follow the described proposal format within this RFP. Please note that the City of College Station is not responsible for high internet traffic/demand at or near the time the response packages are due and that firms submitting their response package during peak traffic times risk their submittal not being received by the due date and time.

The City of College Station is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Public Relations and Influencer Marketing services for 'Visit College Station'.

The goal is to enhance the brand visibility of College Station, drive earned media, and strengthen awareness across Texas and surrounding regions. The successful contractor will help position College Station as a premier destination for visitors, meeting planners, and sports organizers through effective storytelling strategies targeting various media outlets and influencers.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Developing a strategic public relations and influencer program that builds awareness and reinforces brand identity.
2. Generating consistent media coverage across travel, lifestyle, hospitality, sports, and meeting planner verticals.
3. Leveraging seasonal initiatives to drive visitor interest.
4. Cultivating relationships with writers, journalists, bloggers, and influencers aligned with target audiences.
5. Aligning efforts with existing marketing strategies.

Specific tasks include strategic planning, media relations (including drafting press releases), influencer marketing (sourcing and managing partnerships), biweekly status meetings, quarterly planning meetings, and providing media monitoring reports.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is for one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms, totaling three years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in College Station, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in public relations and influencer marketing specific to hospitality and tourism. They should have established relationships with relevant media contacts in key markets and provide references from similar projects completed for governmental agencies.
