Description

The Health and Human Services Commission, for and on behalfof its Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting CompetitiveSealed Proposals for selection of a General Contractor to provide generalconstruction and construction administration services to the Owner for ProjectNo. 23-116-AUL Chapel Structural Repairs- Phase Two, Austin State SupportedLiving Center, Austin, TX, in accordance with the terms, conditions, andrequirements set forth in this Solicitation. This is a re-solicitation of apreviously posted RFP.

ThisSolicitation is being issued to select a Contractor for the Project as providedby Texas Government Code, Section 2155.144(b-2) and Chapter 2269, Subchapter D.

ProjectSummary: The scopeof work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Provide allMaterial, Labor and Equipment to repair the structural elements in the existingChapel Building 739 as indicated in the Plans and Specifications issued for theproject.

For completeProject information, refer to Attachment H to Exhibit C, ProjectSpecifications and Drawings (if there are separate drawings for theProject).

ProjectEstimate: Theapproximate cost for construction of the Project is $250,000.00.

Mandatory FacilitySite Visit and Walk Through Logistical Information

All Respondents are required to attend oneFacility Site Visit as specified in Section 2.2 (Schedule of Events). Failure to attendin person will result in the disqualification of a Respondent. Attendance willbe verified via attendance log. Potential Respondents must be prepared tocomplete one of the scheduled tours; additional tours will not be offered.

Background
The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), through its Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals for the selection of a General Contractor to provide general construction and construction administration services for Project No. 23-116-AUL Chapel Structural Repairs - Phase Two at the Austin State Supported Living Center in Austin, TX.

This solicitation is a re-solicitation of a previously posted RFP and is issued under the authority of Texas Government Code, Section 2155.144(b-2) and Chapter 2269, Subchapter D.

Work Details
The scope of work includes providing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to repair the structural elements in the existing Chapel Building 739 as indicated in the Plans and Specifications issued for the project.

The approximate cost for construction of the project is $500,000.00. For complete project information, refer to Attachment H to Exhibit C, which includes Project Specifications and Drawings.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award in September 2025 and will continue until project completion as outlined in the contract terms.

Place of Performance
Austin State Supported Living Center, located at 2203 W. 35th Street, Austin, TX.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must comply with Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) requirements as specified in Exhibit B of the RFP.

Additionally, respondents are required to attend a mandatory facility site visit on July 10 or July 11, 2025. Proposals must be submitted by July 24, 2025 by 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
