Project 22-301-ENG Lighting Retrofit at Multiple Locations

Background
The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals for the selection of a General Contractor to provide general construction and construction administration services for Project No. 22-301-ENG - Lighting Retrofit.

This project aims to enhance lighting systems across multiple facilities owned by the HHSC, which oversees health and human services programs throughout Texas. The facilities include state supported living centers and youth centers that require modernized lighting solutions to improve safety and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Demolition and preparation for new work.
2. Reference division 26 for project scope and requirement.
3. Pre-retrofit site survey to spot check as required.
4. Turnkey installation of all work as per specifications/code.
5. Post retrofit site survey to ensure light levels meet or exceed existing levels, serving as as-built documentation for records.
6. Lamps and ballast recycling as required.
7. All work performed must comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and HHSC safety protocols.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence in June 2025, with specific timelines for each phase of the project outlined in the schedule of events.
