Professional Architectural Services

Background
The Houston Community College (HCC) is seeking qualified firms to provide Professional Architectural Services in compliance with Texas Government Code 2254.003. The goal of this contract is to engage licensed architects who can offer services on an 'as needed' basis for various projects designated by the College. HCC plays a vital role in providing educational opportunities and workforce training in the Houston area.

Work Details
The selected firm(s) will provide a range of architectural services including design, estimating, scope development, planning, interior design, technical studies, feasibility studies, problem analysis, design reviews, and building evaluation reports. Projects will typically involve repairs and improvements to existing buildings without size limitations. Key responsibilities include:
- Project oversight for HCC architectural projects.
- Quality control for all architectural and construction projects.
- Analysis of architectural products and proposals submitted to the Facilities Department.
- Development of maintenance and operation programs for facilities.
- Implementation of life safety corrections to meet current code requirements.
- Development of construction design standards including space allocation and quality standards.
- Providing updated CAD drawings and records as required.

The contract will be structured as an On-Call or IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contract with no guaranteed minimum amount of work.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term is three years with options for two additional one-year renewals. The contract may also be extended on a month-to-month basis for up to three months after the initial term.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Houston Community College service area, which includes multiple campuses across Houston.
