Background
High Street DFW Development, Inc. is acting on behalf of the City of Richardson to accept competitive sealed proposals for the Polk Street Reconstruction project.
The City of Richardson aims to improve Polk Street from Interurban Street to Greenville Avenue, enhancing infrastructure and community accessibility.
Work Details
The project includes full depth paving reconstruction, installation of sidewalks, water lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm drains (including inlets), reinforced concrete pipes and box culverts, and headwalls.
Additional work involves pavement marking and signing, installation of crosswalk buttons, illumination systems, landscaping, hardscaping (including specialty pavement finishes and colors), brick pavers, tree grates, street furniture, and irrigation systems.
Period of Performance
Construction will be divided into two phases: Phase 1 allows a maximum of 200 calendar days for utility and flatwork construction.
Phase 2 allows a maximum of 60 calendar days for landscape construction.
Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Richardson, Texas, specifically along Polk Street from Interurban Street to Greenville Avenue.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must submit a certified or cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond amounting to at least 5% of the total proposal as a guarantee.
Successful proposers are required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond each amounting to 100% of the contract price from a surety authorized under Texas law.
Proposers must also demonstrate relevant experience with similar projects.
