The City of Allen is seeking to contract with a qualified vendor to provide fleet upfitting installation services for the Police Department. The goal of this contract is to ensure that new vehicles acquired by the City are properly outfitted with necessary equipment and installations, enhancing the operational capabilities of the police fleet.
Work Details
The contractor will provide various vehicle upfitting services on an as-needed basis, primarily in conjunction with the City’s acquisition of new vehicles. Specific packages include:
- BASIC PATROL / SLICK PACKAGE: Includes push bumper, speaker, headlight flasher, deck lights, light bar, center console, siren and switch box, and radio with antenna.

- BASIC STRIP-ONLY PACKAGE: Excludes push bumper and other specified items billed separately.
- Installation includes new automotive-rated wiring; reuse of removed wiring is prohibited.
- Additional services include installation and removal of various equipment such as cameras, radios, gun racks, prisoner barriers, and more.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed as needed upon the acquisition of new vehicles starting from the issue date of April 10, 2026.
