Pipeline and Easement Mowing Services

Background
The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is soliciting sealed bids for an annual contract for pipeline and easement mowing services. NTMWD serves an area of approximately 2200 square miles across eleven counties, managing over 600 miles of water pipelines and more than 250 wastewater pipelines.

The goal of this contract is to maintain the easements and ensure the proper upkeep of the facilities as new pipelines are constructed and easements acquired.

Work Details
The contractor will provide pipeline and easement mowing services, including:
1. Large tractor mowing of pipeline easements.
2. Herbicide applications around gates and appurtenances.
3. Additional tractor mowing upon request.

Mowing service areas include specific pipelines such as Wylie WTP Raw Water Pipeline, Texoma Pipeline, East Fork Reuse Pipeline, Tawakoni Raw Water Line, Cooper Raw Water Line, Main Stem Raw Water Line, and others with specified lengths and acreages. Each area will be mowed a minimum of two times per year, with herbicide application included around gates and appurtenances.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract shall commence on the date of the last signatory and shall be for a period of one year, with automatic renewals for four additional one-year periods unless terminated by NTMWD with a written notice at least sixty days prior to expiration.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed across various locations within the North Texas Municipal Water District's service area, which includes multiple counties in Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have adequate financial resources, a satisfactory record of performance, integrity, ethics, and be otherwise qualified to receive an award. Contractors must also provide proof of insurance coverage including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and must comply with herbicide application regulations.
