Pest Control-2025

Background
Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA), a member of the University of Texas System, is seeking proposals for pest control services to ensure the safety and health of its occupants, including students, faculty, staff, and guests.

The university aims to preserve its assets through effective pest management across all buildings and sites on the main campus and any required off-site locations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive pest control services including control, extermination, and prevention of various pests such as silverfish, crickets, mice, rats, fleas, scorpions, bed bugs, ticks, ants, and other occasional invaders. Services will be performed on an annual, quarterly, monthly basis or as needed.

Specific tasks include:
- Environmental reporting detailing pest problems and sanitation deficiencies.
- A bed bug prevention/treatment program with inspections at least three times per year in dorms.
- On-call service for regular and emergency situations with response times of 12 hours for emergencies and 24 hours for regular requests.
- Compliance with safety regulations and use of EPA-registered pesticides.
- Submission of a list of chemicals used along with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prior to application.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to begin in June 2025 and end on December 31, 2025. There is an option to extend the contract for three additional one-year periods at SFA's discretion.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Stephen F. Austin State University's main campus in Nacogdoches, Texas. This includes all buildings listed in the financial proposal and any additional facilities acquired during the contract period.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience in providing pest control services and hold a Texas State Pest Control Applicator License as well as a Master Fumigator License. They must also provide evidence of their ability to perform required services and submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan demonstrating good faith efforts to subcontract with historically underutilized businesses.
