Open Enrollment for Durable Medical Equipment

Background
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) mission is to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, families, individuals and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. The solicitation is for Open Enrollment for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to be provided to Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) customers served by the Texas Workforce Commission-Vocational Rehabilitation (TWC-VR) division on behalf of TWC. The contract will be awarded to qualified Applicants throughout the enrollment period and may award multiple contracts within individual counties or groups of counties.

Work Details
This open enrollment is for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as described in the TWC VR Standards for Providers (VR-SFP) Manual Chapter 8. The DME included in the contract must comply with Chapter 8: Durable Medical Equipment published for the date(s) the services were delivered.
The Chapter 8: Durable Medical Equipment includes DME Contractor Qualifications, Description of DME, DME Maintenance and Warranty, DME Methodology for Payment, and Outcomes Required for Payment.
Applicants must submit a copy of the business’ policy related to scheduling the service of equipment, a list of DME being offered by the business including MSRP and TWC-VR price for the entire functional unit, proof qualification such as licenses, certifications, and resumes for the staff listed on the VR3440B.

Period of Performance
The open enrollment period starts on July 3, 2024, and ends on July 31, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. CT. Contracts will be developed as they are approved during this period.

Place of Performance
This is a statewide open enrollment solicitation. All Texas counties are included in this solicitation. If awarded a contract for these services, the contractor may serve customers throughout the state of Texas upon receipt of an approved service authorization issued on behalf of a TWC-VR customer.
