One Time Bid For Purchase Of Various Size Forklifts

Work Requested:
The San Antonio Water System is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the one-time purchase of various size forklifts. The scope of work includes supplying the following equipment:

• Two (2) forklifts with a 10,000-pound lifting capacity
• One (1) forklift with a 6,000-pound lifting capacity
• One (1) 10,000-pound capacity, diesel-powered, industrial-type forklift equipped with installed extended pallet style forks (manufacturer and model must be specified in the bid)

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the San Antonio Water System (SAWS), Purchasing Department.

Background:
The intent of this solicitation is to outline the minimum requirements for the purchase of the specified forklifts to support the operational needs of SAWS.

Contract Requirements:
Vendors must provide the forklifts as described, meeting all specifications outlined in the solicitation. Bidders agree, if selected, to furnish all items at the prices and under the terms and conditions specified. The period of acceptance for submitted bids is 90 calendar days after the bid opening date.

Instructions on Submission:
Bids may be submitted electronically or by sealed bid. All bids must be received by the date and time specified in the solicitation.

• Sealed bids must be enclosed in an envelope addressed to the Director of Purchasing, with the bid number, bid name, closing date, and company name clearly marked on the outside.
• Sealed bids should be mailed or hand-delivered to:

• Electronic bids will not be accepted after the specified date and time.
