Background
Texas A&M University is committed to supporting student-athletes in leveraging Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities in compliance with NCAA rules, federal and state regulations, and university policy. The university seeks to partner with a qualified firm to assist in determining fair market value and navigating the NIL process amidst evolving regulations following the House v. NCAA settlement.
Work Details
The selected consulting firm will provide strategic NIL-related services including:
1. NIL Market Insights and Valuation Guidance: Conduct market research and provide Texas A&M-specific benchmarks for fair market value of NIL opportunities across sports, demographics, and digital metrics; deliver a framework or tool for assessing market value of NIL engagements.
2. Marketplace Facilitation Support: Advise on the development or enhancement of an NIL deal facilitation platform; recommend operational workflows, deal intake processes, and institutional review procedures.
3. Compliance-Oriented Consulting: Provide guidance on maintaining compliance with NCAA rules and Texas NIL regulations; assist in identifying potential areas of institutional risk.
4. Education & Student-Athlete Empowerment: Deliver education to student-athletes, coaches, and administrators on branding, contracts, sponsorship readiness, financial awareness; develop educational materials in various formats.
5. Ongoing Strategic Support: Provide regular consultation and attend strategic meetings throughout the contract term.
Period of Performance
The initial contract term is one (1) year from the date of award, with four (4) optional one-year renewals subject to mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Texas A&M University located in College Station, Texas.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must demonstrate experience consulting with Division I institutions on NIL-related matters; familiarity with NCAA rules and state-level NIL frameworks; knowledge of current NIL platforms and valuation methodologies; capacity to provide education to a diverse athletic population; strong understanding of compliance-oriented program design.
