Description

TheCity of College Station is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) fromfirms interested and qualified to perform the necessary evaluation, design, andrelated functions required for development of plans and specifications for thedesign of a new Public Works Facility. The City of College Station will be utilizing theConstruction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method. The new location for thisfacility has yet to be decided.

Electronicresponse packages, in the format prescribed herein, shall be uploaded to Brazos Valley e-Marketplace ( BiddingPortal ) until 2:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 29th, 2024. Proposals received after the specifiedsubmission deadline will not be accepted.

In order to ensure a fair and objectiveevaluation, all questions and inquiries relatedto this Request for Proposalshall be addressedin writing via the Q&A feature availablethrough the BiddingPortal. The deadlinefor written questionsis 2:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024.

Background
The City of College Station is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from firms interested and qualified to perform the necessary evaluation, design, and related functions required for the development of plans and specifications for the design of a new Public Works Facility.

The City will utilize the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method. The estimated budget for this project is $35 million, which includes all design, construction, and additional services. This amount will be better defined during the design phase. The intent is to select a single consultant to accomplish all outlined services.

Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for:
1. Evaluation of site options for the new Public Works Facility;
2. Development of comprehensive plans and specifications;
3. Coordination with city officials and stakeholders throughout the design process;
4. Adhering to the CMAR delivery method requirements;
5. Providing additional services as needed during the project lifecycle.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon selection in September 2024 and will continue through the completion of design and construction phases, with specific timelines to be established during the project planning.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for performance has yet to be determined as the new location for the facility has not been decided.
