Neutral Host Distribution Antenna System (DAS)

Background
The City of Austin Convention Center Department (ACCD) is seeking a qualified Contractor to design, deploy, and maintain a Neutral Host Distributed Antenna System (DAS). This system aims to improve wireless communication and connectivity for various stakeholders including staff, clients, exhibitors, attendees, the public, and emergency responders across multiple cellular providers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T.

Work Details
The Contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Design of a modern and efficient Neutral Host DAS that meets the connectivity needs of the Convention Center.
2. Deployment of the DAS infrastructure including installation of antennas and related equipment.
3. Maintenance services to ensure ongoing functionality and efficiency of the DAS system.
4. Coordination with multiple cellular providers to ensure compatibility and service coverage.
5. Compliance with all applicable regulations and standards during design and installation phases.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will continue until all obligations are fulfilled. The City reserves the right to extend the contract beyond the initial term at its sole discretion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the City of Austin Convention Center located in Austin, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must comply with any set-aside certifications as required by the City’s Minority-Owned Business Enterprise/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) Program Compliance Plan if applicable. Additionally, Contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract terms.
