Mowing and Landscaping Bid Proposal

Background
The City of Waller, Texas, is seeking a responsible bidder to provide mowing, maintenance, and landscaping services for its city facilities and right-of-ways. The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of public spaces within the city, aligning with the city's mission to maintain a clean and attractive environment for residents and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary for grounds maintenance and mowing of designated areas. Specific tasks include:

1. Picking up litter/trash before mowing and disposing of it.
2. Mowing all grass areas.
3. Edging along beds, curbs, fence lines, sidewalks, and other obstacles.
4. Weed-eating around fire hydrants, ground cover, signs, trees, etc., and applying herbicide as needed.
5. Removing unwanted vegetation from plant beds to maintain weed-free conditions.
6. Sweeping/blowing to clean landscape-related debris without affecting drainage systems.
7. Trimming shrubs and ground cover to maintain a manicured appearance and visibility at intersections.
8. Treating for fire ants and clearing mounds from landscaped areas.
9. Monitoring irrigation systems and reporting issues to the Director of Public Works.
10. Removing dead plants/shrubs as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, and will continue until December 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various city facilities located in Waller, Texas.
