Background
The Housing Authority of the City of San Antonio, Texas, known as Opportunity Home San Antonio (formerly San Antonio Housing Authority), is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced entities to provide mowing and ground maintenance services for its Affordable Housing Communities. Founded in 1937, Opportunity Home has a mission to build and maintain affordable housing for over 65,000 residents in San Antonio. The organization manages nearly 70 public housing communities and is committed to creating dynamic communities that foster economic growth.
Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive mowing and ground maintenance services for Affordable Housing Communities managed by Opportunity Home. This includes regular lawn care, landscaping, tree care, and maintenance of common areas as detailed in the Scope of Services (Exhibit A). The contractor must demonstrate experience in similar projects and provide a project management plan that outlines their approach to meeting the needs of Opportunity Home.
Period of Performance
The contract will be for one year with an option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods at the discretion of Opportunity Home.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Affordable Housing Communities located in San Antonio, Texas.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must have a minimum of five years of experience providing similar services. They must possess all necessary licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local laws. Additionally, contractors must comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act and conduct criminal history checks on employees assigned to work on Opportunity Home properties.
