MEP Engineering Design Services FY26

Background
The University of Houston System is seeking qualified firms to provide mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design services. The goal of this contract is to support utility infrastructure projects as well as various renovation and new construction projects on an as-needed basis. This initiative aims to enhance the university's infrastructure, ensuring that facilities such as classrooms, research laboratories, and student life spaces are adequately designed and maintained.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include:
- MEP engineering design for campus utility infrastructure improvements and replacements.
- Conducting infrastructure assessments.
- Providing design and construction documentation for new construction and renovation projects, which may include classrooms, research laboratories, offices, student life spaces, site improvements, administration buildings, and other typical university projects.

Period of Performance
The contract will be open for responses starting from December 15, 2025, with a closing date of January 28, 2026. The work will be performed on an as-needed basis throughout the duration of the contract.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various campuses within the University of Houston System.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must submit statements of qualifications to participate in this solicitation. There is a mandatory pre-submittal meeting scheduled for January 12, 2026. Attendance at this meeting is required to avoid disqualification.
