Medicare Cost Reporting Services

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking to contract with an entity that has expertise and experience in completing required reports and audits mandated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and HHSC.

The contractor will collaborate with the Health & Specialty Care System division to fulfill the specifications outlined in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for managing cost reporting functions, including the preparation and submission of CMS 2552 cost reports for various facilities.

Specific tasks include:
- Preparing schedules that crosswalk facility cost centers to the cost report.
- Submitting findings and recommendations after each annual cost reporting cycle.
- Analyzing revenue collections impacting future reimbursements.
- Preparing data for reviews.
- Providing audit support.
- Conducting training sessions.
- Ensuring compliance with DCS hosting requirements.
- Maintaining necessary software for report preparation.

Deliverables must be submitted electronically by specified due dates.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award in September 2025 and will continue through the completion of all required reports and audits as per the established schedule.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed remotely; however, on-site activities may occur at designated facilities as needed.
