Description

The State of Texas, by and through the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB), seeks proposals to establish Contract(s) for removal and control of Carrizo cane (Arundo donax) also known as giant reed/cane, Arundo, river cane/reed, Spanish cane/reed, bamboo reed, El ladron de agua, wild cane, elephant grass, and other invasive and noxious vegetation along the Rio Grande on the Texas-Mexico border in accordance with the specifications and terms and conditions contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP). In particular, the services requested herein and to be provided under any Contract(s) awarded as a result of this RFP, are for services associated with the implementation of conservation plans and practices developed for properties adjacent to the Rio Grande, for the control of Carrizo cane and other invasive species by integrated mechanical and herbicide application methods. (Codified at Agriculture Code 201.0225, and in other sections of Chapter201).
