Machining Lab Equipment

Background
The Alvin Community College is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 25-073 to procure equipment necessary for the establishment of a machining lab, funded by a DOL-SCC5 grant.
The college aims to enhance its educational offerings and support workforce development through this initiative.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing, setting in place, and installing various equipment to support the machining lab. Specific items required include:
1. **Vertical Milling Machines**: 3 units, specifications include 220V three-phase power, variable speed, 9" x 49" table, Yaskawa inverter, head movement of approximately 45 degrees, spindle speeds from 60 to 4200 RPM.
2. **Mill Tooling**: 3 units for the milling machines.
3. **Metal Lathes**: 3 units with a minimum of a 3 hp motor running on 220V single-phase power with multiple spindle speeds and additional features like digital readout and integrated coolant system.
4. **Lathe Tooling**: 3 units for the metal lathes.
5. **Horizontal Band Saws**: 2 units with minimum specifications including a minimum of 1.5 hp motor powered by 240V single-phase power and various cutting capabilities.
6. **Belt Driven Drill Presses**: 2 units with minimum specifications including .5 hp motor and multiple speed settings.
7. **Drill Press Tooling**: 2 units for the drill presses.
8. **5-axis Tabletop CNC Mills**: 10 units capable of cutting materials up to G5 Titanium with specified travel dimensions and spindle speed requirements.
9. **Benches for CNC Machines**: 10 units with adjustable leg bases and storage features.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and continue until all equipment is delivered and installed as specified in the bid documents.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Alvin Community College located at 3110 Mustang Road, Alvin, TX 77511.
