Background
The City of Longview, Texas, is seeking sealed proposals for the construction of the 2025 Chip Seal project. The project aims to enhance local road infrastructure by applying a chip seal treatment to designated streets, ensuring improved road conditions and longevity.

The contract will be managed by Dwayne Archer, the Director of Public Works, who oversees the Public Works Service Center located at 933 Mobile Drive, Longview, Texas.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary for the construction of the 2025 Chip Seal project. Specific tasks include:

1. Performing chip seal operations on approximately 218,340 square yards of roadway.
2. Installing permanent pavement markings including:
- Solid (4-inch) markings: 11,126 linear feet
- Break (4-inch) markings: 3,575 linear feet
- Thermoplastic solid (8-inch) markings: 265 linear feet
- Thermoplastic solid (24-inch) markings: 540 linear feet
- Thermoplastic 'ONLY' markings: 6 linear feet
- Thermoplastic arrow markings: 11 each.
3. Furnishing and maintaining all necessary traffic control devices including barricades and signs as per the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
4. A miscellaneous allowance for additional items valued at $20,000.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence within ten days following the issuance of a written Notice to Proceed and must be completed within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in various locations throughout Longview, Texas where the designated streets for chip sealing are located.
