Lubbock Generators Maintenance

Background
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking a contractor for a five-year term to provide preventative maintenance for small and large Cummins generators located at the DPS Lubbock office. The goal of this contract is to ensure the reliable operation of these generators through regular maintenance and inspections.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor necessary to perform services, including quarterly, annual, and triennial maintenance tasks. Specific services include:

- **Quarterly Service:** General generator inspection, battery checks, coolant checks, oil leak inspections, fuel system inspections, exhaust system checks, and visual inspections of the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).

- **Annual Service:** Includes all quarterly tasks plus changing oil and filters, spark plugs, fuel polishing for diesel units, and performing a two-hour load bank test.

- **Triennial Service:** Includes all previous services plus changing thermostats, belts, fuel lines, coolant hoses, and conducting a thermography scan of the ATS.

The contractor must also provide basic weekly generator checking steps for onsite DPS personnel. All work must comply with applicable health and safety standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a five-year period with specific service schedules outlined for quarterly, annual, and triennial inspections.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the DPS Lubbock office located on Business Park Blvd., Lubbock, TX.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Pricing Breakdown worksheet and Service Repair Rate worksheet at bid time. The contractor must have all necessary licenses and permits for service performance. Contractor employees must wear uniforms or appropriate clothing identifying them as contractors while on DPS premises.
