The Work consists of the relocation of an existing 30- to 36-inch concrete storm drain from easement to street right-of-way. Work consists of the removal of the entirety of the existing storm drain system in street right-of-way and abandonment of approximately 550 linear feet of 30- to 36-inch existing storm drain within easement via filling the pipe with Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM). The new storm drain system consists of eight new curb inlets, approximately 1,160 linear feet of 18- to 36-inch reinforced-concrete-pipe storm drain, and associated concrete headwall, junction box, and manholes. The work also consists of the relocation of approximately 1,230 linear feet of 6- to 8-inch sewer main and associated manholes, and wastewater services, and the relocation of approximately 400 linear feet of 6- to 8-inch water main and associated water services.
Background
The City of Austin, through its Watershed Protection Department, is undertaking the Glenn Lane / Slayton Drive Storm Drain Improvements project to enhance stormwater management in the Georgian Acres neighborhood. The project aims to relocate existing storm drain systems to improve drainage and reduce flooding risks, aligning with the city's commitment to sustainable urban development.

Work Details
The work involves the relocation of an existing 30- to 36-inch concrete storm drain from an easement to the street right-of-way. This includes:

1. Removal of the entire existing storm drain system in the street right-of-way.
2. Abandonment of approximately 550 linear feet of 30- to 36-inch existing storm drain within the easement by filling it with Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM).
3. Installation of a new storm drain system comprising:
- Eight new curb inlets.
- Approximately 1,160 linear feet of 18- to 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe for the storm drain.
- Associated concrete headwall, junction box, and manholes.
4. Relocation of approximately 1,230 linear feet of 6- to 8-inch sewer main along with associated manholes and wastewater services.
5. Relocation of approximately 400 linear feet of 6- to 8-inch water main and associated water services.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be substantially completed within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is required within sixty (60) calendar days following substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The project will be conducted in the Georgian Acres neighborhood of North Austin, specifically bound by Glenn Lane to the West, Slayton Drive to the East, Grissom Court to the North, and Carpenter Avenue to the South.
