Little Walnut Creek - Jamestown Tributary Erosion and Draina

Background
The City of Austin's Watershed Protection Department is issuing this solicitation for the Little Walnut Creek - Jamestown Tributary Erosion and Drainage project. The goal of the contract is to stabilize creek banks and improve drainage systems to enhance environmental protection and community safety. This project is part of the Capital Improvements Program aimed at addressing erosion and flooding issues in the area.

Work Details
The work consists of approximately 2,600 linear feet (LF) of creek bank stabilization, including:
- Over 3,700 cubic yards (CY) of channel excavation;
- Demolition of two 6 FT x 6 FT culverts;
- Construction of a 46 FT prestressed concrete slab beam span bridge at Fairfield Drive;
- About 2,600 LF of bank stabilization systems including limestone block walls and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) soil lifts;
- Limestone boulder grade control structures;
- 420 CY of dry rock riprap;
- Cofferdam and site dewatering;
- Over 1,900 LF of storm drain and curb inlet improvements;
- Over 1,450 LF of waterline installation;
- 900 LF of wastewater line installation;
- Over 7,000 square yards (SY) hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement repair;
- Installation of permanent erosion control measures;
- Native landscape plan implementation;
- Temporary irrigation system installation.
