Background
The City of Missouri City, Texas is issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) 26-049 for Legislative Consulting Services.

5. Organizing state and federal meetings and events;
6. Monitoring federal legislation and committee actions;
7. Providing information on potential grant funding opportunities;
8. Advising on legislative initiatives impacting the City;
9. Assisting in developing the City's legislative agenda;
10. Preparing written testimony and position papers;
11. Monitoring and evaluating legislation affecting the City;
12. Scheduling meetings with City officials;
13. Drafting and managing legislation;
14. Developing strategic coalitions;
15. Providing additional legal services as required by the City.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is intended to be a multi-year agreement, automatically renewing each year for up to three additional one-year terms unless terminated by either party with thirty days' notice.
Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed in Missouri City, Texas.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must comply with Texas Government Code Chapter 2252 regarding resident bidders and may need to submit a completed Form 1295 Certificate of Interested Parties as part of their proposal package.
