Background
Texas A&M AgriLife Research is soliciting proposals for the selection of a commercial entity to enter into a property lease and/or operating agreement of the Electron Beam Radiation Processing Facility (EBRPF) located at 400 Discovery Drive in College Station, Texas. The facility is intended to expand commercial irradiation services and serve as a laboratory for research projects by academic and industry scientists in collaboration with Agency scientists.

Work Details
The EBRPF is intended to expand commercial eBeam irradiation services for various industries such as food, pet-food, spice, medical device, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and environmental. It will also serve as a laboratory for research projects related to sterilization, pasteurization, and disinfection. The facility houses two vertically mounted opposing electron beam linear accelerators and a single horizontally mounted X-Ray Linear Accelerator.
The RFP requires Respondents to provide detailed plans on how they would operate, manage, and promote the EBRPF operations, including equipment upgrading & expansion, assuming current service agreements, supporting research activities of the National Center for Electron Beam Research (NCEBR), and ensuring a quality level of service.

Period of Performance
The lease and/or operating agreement shall be for an approximate period of five (5) years.

The Electron Beam Radiation Processing Facility (EBRPF) is located at 400 Discovery Drive in College Station, Texas.
