Background
The City of Nacogdoches is seeking to enter into a professional land surveying services contract with a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveying firm or firms. This contract aims to facilitate project design topographic surveys, boundary surveys, control surveys, and easement preparation for the Lanana Creek and Banita Creek Sanitary Sewer Replacement Projects. The anticipated duration for this project is between 12 to 24 months.
Work Details
The selected firm(s) will provide the following services:
1. Assist the City in coordination with other firms hired for engineering design, environmental evaluations, and easement acquisition.
2. Evaluate existing Preliminary Engineering Reports and propose a survey work plan.
3. Obtain rights-of-entry for properties needed for surveying and environmental studies.
4. Set primary project survey control monuments using conventional GPS or surveying instruments to an agreed precision suitable for detailed design and construction.
5. Provide LiDAR drone data collection, process and clean point clouds, generate DEMs and DSMs, and classify points for engineering design use by City-selected firms.
6. Provide high-resolution tiled drone photography.
7. Conduct boundary surveys for easement acquisitions including field note descriptions of each easement obtained with a parcel plat.
8. Provide on-demand construction or temporary staking as needed.
9. Provide permanent monuments for easements after acquisition.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be performed over an anticipated schedule of 12 to 24 months.
Place of Performance
The work will be conducted in Nacogdoches, Texas, specifically along Lanana Creek and Banita Creek from the Wastewater Treatment Plant on Rayburn Drive northward to NE Stallings Drive (Loop 224).
