KinderCare Doors & FRP

Background
The City of Austin has an operational agreement with KinderCare Education at Work LLC, which operates a high-quality, nationally accredited childcare center serving 72 children. The center was cited for a deficiency by the State due to peeling paint caused by water leaking behind the sinks. Additionally, there are safety concerns regarding un-hinged half-doors that could be hazardous if they come off the wall.
The work needs to be done after-hours to avoid disrupting childcare services during the day.

Work Details
The scope of work includes removing and resetting five sinks, installing fiberglass reinforced panels (FRP) behind sink areas, removing and replacing three closet pocket doors with shorter hinged doors, and removing and replacing ten half-sized doors with new hollow core doors.
The work also involves drywall installation at closet doors, floating, and painting.

Period of Performance
The contract shall become effective on the date executed by the City and shall remain in effect until the deliverables set forth in the Contract are complete or until terminated by the City.

Place of Performance
The work is to be performed at KinderCare at Bergstrom Tech, located at 6800 Burleson Rd., Bldg. 312, Suite 170, Austin, TX 78744.
The work will take place after hours.
