Jail Security Electronic Upgrades

Background
Tarrant County, through its Facilities Management department, is seeking proposals for the Jail Security Electronic Upgrades project. This initiative aims to replace outdated electronic security systems at three correctional facilities: the Green Bay Jail, Lon Evans Corrections Center, and Tarrant County Corrections Center. The goal is to enhance security operations by upgrading workstations, PLCs, CPUs, analog camera systems, and integration software to meet current industry standards.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Selective demolition and removal of existing electronic security systems;
2) Installation of new video surveillance systems with IP-based cameras and associated hardware;
3) Upgrades to the Electronic Security Control System (ECS) including new PLC hardware;
4) Installation of new operator control stations with touch screen monitors;
5) Upgrades to intercom and paging systems;
6) Improvements to network and low voltage infrastructure;
7) Power distribution enhancements for security systems;
8) Equipment room upgrades.

Period of Performance
The contractor must commence work within ten (10) days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The estimated time for substantial completion is within eighteen (18) months from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at three locations in Fort Worth, Texas:
- Green Bay Facility (2500 Urban Drive)
- Tarrant County Corrections Center (100 North Lamar Street)
- Lon Evans Corrections Center (600 W. Weatherford).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents. They are also required to have a current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). Additionally, bidders should demonstrate experience with similar projects in correctional facilities.
