Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for pest control services at the Skyview Unit. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest management within the facility, which includes both interior and exterior areas, in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.

Work Details
The vendor will provide monthly pest control services that include inspection, extermination, and prevention measures. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Monthly interior pest control treatments covering various pests such as rats, mice, bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, ants, flies, spiders, and more.
2. Emergency service calls for urgent pest issues (4 calls per year).
3. Bi-annual exterior pest control treatments at designated locations including the highway gate and various housing units.
4. Compliance with TDCJ policies and safety requirements during service delivery.
5. Reporting on services rendered through a Unit Pest Control Report after each visit.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2025, and continue through August 31, 2026, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the TDCJ Skyview Unit located at 379 FM 2972 W, Rusk, TX 75785.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of Pesticide Applicator Licenses for each service technician and a Commercial Applicators License. Additionally, they must maintain specified insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability ($1 million aggregate), Automobile Liability ($500,000), and Worker’s Compensation as required by Texas law.
