Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for pest control services at the Garza West Unit. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest management within the facility, adhering to all applicable federal and state laws.

Work Details
The vendor will provide monthly pest control services, including inspection, extermination, and prevention measures for various pests such as rats, mice, bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, ants, flies, spiders, and more.

Services will cover both interior and exterior areas of the Garza West Unit. Specific tasks include:
1) Monthly pest control treatments in food service areas;
2) Emergency service calls as needed;
3) Compliance with TDCJ policies and safety requirements;
4) Reporting on pest control activities through detailed reports after each service visit;
5) Use of licensed pesticide applicators for all treatments.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on September 01, 2025, and continue through August 31, 2026. There are options to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the TDCJ Garza West Unit located at 4304 Highway 202, Beeville, TX 78102.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide Pesticide Applicator Licenses for each service technician performing work. They must also possess a Commercial Applicators License and have the ability to obtain required commercial insurance. Additionally, bidders should demonstrate financial stability to commence services without assistance from the Department.
