Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for pest control services at the Goodman Unit. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest management within the facility, adhering to applicable federal and state laws.

Work Details
The vendor will provide comprehensive pest control services, including inspection, extermination, and prevention measures on a monthly basis. Services include:
- Monthly pest control for interior areas (12 months) and emergency service calls (4 calls).
- The vendor must eradicate various pests such as rats, mice, bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, ants, flies, spiders, and more.
- The treatment method must be effective for at least 30 days after application.
- A licensed pesticide applicator must be provided by the vendor in compliance with TDCJ policies and safety requirements.
- Reporting requirements include completing a Unit Pest Control Report after each service visit detailing the areas serviced and methods used.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2025, and continue through August 31, 2026. There are options to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the TDCJ Goodman Unit located at 349 Private Road 8430, Jasper, TX 75951.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide Pesticide Applicator Licenses for each service technician performing work and possess a Commercial Applicators License. They must maintain required insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability ($1 million aggregate), Automobile Liability ($500,000), and Worker’s Compensation as required by Texas law. Additionally, vendors are encouraged to subcontract with Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and must submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan with their bid.
