ITSB Re-Roof

Background
Sam Houston State University is issuing a solicitation for the re-roofing of the ITSB Building. The goal of this contract is to recover the existing roof to ensure its integrity and compliance with applicable codes and standards. The project is prepared by Terracon Consultants, Inc., with Mr. Steve M. Hall and Mr. Amin Toussi overseeing the specifications.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1) Providing all necessary documents, labor, equipment, and materials as specified in the Construction Documents.

2) Complying with state and local codes and manufacturer guidelines for warranty certification.

3) Submitting a Logistic Plan, Product Data, Shop Drawings, submittal log, and project schedule for approval before commencing work.

4) Field verifying existing conditions related to the project scope.

5) Removing and storing the existing lightning protection system for reinstallation.

6) Installing a new fully adhered Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) roofing system which includes:

a) Installing side lap fasteners in all laps of existing metal roof panels;

b) Removing existing gutters at eaves;

c) Trimming metal roof panel overhangs;

d) Securing loose fascia;

e) Installing wood nailers along perimeters;

f) Installing ISO insulation over metal panels;

g) Installing gypsum coverboard over insulation;

h) Fully adhering PVC membrane to coverboard;

i) Installing wood nailers at ridges;

j) Installing gutters per ANSI/SPRI requirements;

k) Installing PVC clad edge metal at rake edges;

l) Installing Décor standing seams over the entire roof;

m) Reinstalling and certifying the lightning protection system.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be determined upon contract award but is expected to align with typical construction timelines for roofing projects.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Sam Houston State University, specifically on the ITSB Building.
