Background
The City of Corpus Christi is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide Retaining Wall Removal services for the Solid Waste Administration Building. The goal of this contract is to remove existing retaining walls, clear the area, and install decomposed granite as part of the landscaping improvements.
Work Details
The Contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1. Remove the existing timber retaining wall surrounding the main area of landscaping.
2. Clear the ground by removing grass, weeds, and organic debris from the designated area.
3. Excavate 3-4 inches of soil adjacent to the concrete sidewalk perimeter to contain decomposed granite.
4. Grade the area to create a gentle berm centered on existing trees, sloping towards the sidewalk perimeter.
5. Compact the soil and install a commercial-grade geotextile fabric weed barrier.
6. Install decomposed granite to a depth of 3-4 inches, ensuring it forms a slight berm at the intersection with the concrete sidewalk perimeter.
7. Remove two small wooden log retaining walls and backfill with soil to level with adjacent concrete sidewalk.
Period of Performance
The contract term will last for one month, commencing upon signing of the executed service agreement.

The work will be performed at the Solid Waste Administration Building located at 2525 Hygeia St, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
Bidder Requirements
