Invitation to Bid - Animal Services Facility Remodel

Background
The City of Sherman, Texas, is seeking bids for the Animal Services Facility Remodel under ITB No. 2025-14. The project aims to enhance the facility's functionality and aesthetics, aligning with the city's commitment to providing quality services to its community.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary for the completion of improvements as described in the scope of work:

- Remove 1,800 SF of tile flooring and replace it with 1,800 SF of epoxy resin flooring.
- Remove and install an 11’x16’ stainless L-shaped countertop with a bar topper on the 16’ side, using granite or quartz.
- Remove and install 15’ of upper cabinetry and 12’ of lower cabinetry, including a matching granite or quartz countertop and new sink.
- Replace two 36” doors with metal doors of the same size and install access control locks.
- Remove four ceiling fans, replacing two of them.
- Repaint and install trim for six rooms, approximately 1,800 SF.
- Remove and replace old lighting fixtures.
- Replace a three-foot bathroom vanity with a granite or quartz vanity.
- Remove 325 SF of wooden paneling on the ceiling and replace it with drywall.
- Install a 2’ stainless wainscoting for 18 feet of wall in a utility closet.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall mobilize on-site within ten (10) calendar days from the effective date of the agreement. All services must be completed within eighty-five (85) calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Animal Services Facility located at 1800 E. Ida Road, Sherman, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific insurance requirements including naming the City of Sherman as an additional insured on general liability policies. They must also provide a performance bond and payment bond as part of their bid submission.
