Invitation for Bids - Removal of Obsolete City Structure

Background
The City of Conroe is issuing a solicitation for qualified and experienced contractors to provide comprehensive demolition services for an existing City-owned building. The goal is to safely and compliantly remove the structure, ensuring adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for conducting pre-demolition assessments; removing hazardous materials per Texas regulations; performing full structural demolition; hauling and disposing of debris; and restoring the site to a clean and stable condition. Specific tasks include:

- Conducting a full site walkthrough with City representatives and documenting existing conditions.
- Submitting TCEQ notifications including the 10-Day Demolition Notification.
- Obtaining all required demolition permits from the City of Conroe.
- Verifying disconnections of utilities (electric, gas, water/sewer, telecommunications) with written confirmations.
- Installing site fencing and safety controls.
- Performing mechanical demolition using appropriate equipment (excavators, loaders).
- Maintaining air-quality compliance during operations.
- Sorting salvageable materials for recycling where practical.
- Transporting all debris to a Texas-approved landfill and providing necessary documentation such as weight tickets.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence following the issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a specified number of calendar days as indicated in the bid submission.

The work will be performed at 2507 N Frazier Street, Conroe, Texas 77303.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in commercial or municipal demolition projects. They are required to submit documentation including a Certificate of Insurance, W-9 Form, EMR Score, references from public-sector clients, and acknowledgment of terms and conditions. Compliance with OSHA regulations is mandatory.
