Background
The City of Waxahachie, Texas seeks qualified contractors to provide interior demolition work within an existing three-story commercial building originally constructed in 1985. The scope of work includes:

B. The elevator must remain intact and operational throughout the demolition process.
C. Existing stairwells located at the front and back left (northeast corner) of the building are to remain.
D. The stairwell located at the back right (southeast side) of the building is to be removed.
E. The existing HVAC system is to remain, but all mastic tape associated with the system must be removed.
All work must comply with OSHA standards (29 CFR 1926.850 through 1926.860), EPA regulations concerning asbestos handling and disposal, local building codes, and proper waste disposal regulations.
