Installation of Gas Piping for New Training Building, Barracks, and Gun Range at Holliday Unit

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids for the installation of gas piping at the Holliday Unit. This project aims to connect the existing gas meter to a new training building, dormitory, and gun range, ensuring compliance with design and testing codes.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Installation of gas piping from the existing gas meter to the new training building, dorm building, and gun range.
- One hot tap on a 6" line with a 3" tapping valve and bore under the entrance driveway for a 3" poly line.
- 1500 linear feet of 3" poly gas line with locating tape.
- 350 linear feet of 2" poly gas line with locating tape.
- 150 linear feet of 1.5" poly gas line with locating tape.
- Two 2" risers with iron body stop and regulator from 10 lbs. to 14 in. W.C. and a 2" body.
- One 1.5" riser with iron body stop and regulator from 10 lbs. to 14 in. W.C. and a 1.5" body.
- One bore under the entrance road for the line serving barracks and gun range.
- Necessary fittings as needed to meet design requirements.
- Testing per code requirements before backfilling ditches.

Additionally, the vendor must ensure that grassy areas are returned to their original condition after work completion using sod or seeding.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and continue until all work is completed satisfactorily, with specific timelines outlined in the bid documents.

The work will be performed at the Holliday Unit located in Huntsville, Texas.
