Installation of a Tilt Radio Tower

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids for the procurement and installation of a Tilt Down Radio Tower. This project aims to enhance communication capabilities within the TDCJ facilities, specifically at the Jester, Scott, and Vance Units located in Richmond, TX. The goal is to ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and standards during the installation process.

Work Details
The contractor will provide labor and materials for a turnkey solution that includes:

1. Installation of one (1) 60-foot Rohn 55G Fold Over Tower (Item #: 55FK-60LAB) meeting TIA-222-G standards with a minimum wind load of 100 MPH.

2. Installation of one (1) Rohn 45GSR Tower Short Base (Item #: 45GSRSB).

3. Installation of one (1) Climate Controlled Cabinet Outdoor Enclosure (Item #: 5G-LTE-MICRO-SM-ACP), dimensions: 51"H x 30"W x 30"D, color: powder-coated cream with a three-point pad locking system. The cabinet's orientation will be specified by TDCJ personnel.

4. Construction of a Concrete Cast Foundation Pad for the cabinet, either poured onsite or pre-poured at the contractor's expense.

5. Installation of one (1) 6-inch Aluminum Cable Duct from the tower base to the cabinet's cable spool up box, including necessary hardware and fasteners.

6. Installation of two (2) Eight Foot Ground Rods connected to the tower and cabinet grounding systems using #2 AWG bare copper wire inside flexible conduit.

7. Coordination with TDCJ Radio Shop for coax cables, antennas, and connectors installation prior to tower stacking.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence within a specified number of days after contract award and must adhere to a timeline approved by TDCJ management.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at the Jester, Scott, and Vance Units in Richmond, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of experience in tower installation, maintenance, and repair. They are required to submit references for similar projects completed within the last year. The awarded vendor must also provide warranties covering labor and materials for ten years against rust or corrosion for the tower and five years for other equipment.
