Installation Of A Direct Gas-Fired Btu Heater.

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for the procurement and installation of a Direct Gas-Fired BTU Heater. The goal of this contract is to enhance heating capabilities within TDCJ facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing heating unit, which will be left on site for TDCJ to dispose of. The vendor must install a new 410,000 BTU heater, specifically the Modine MCV/MVV model # MCV418FX0625NAENA6AG5B1. The scope includes:

- All labor, freight, and hookup materials included in the vendor quote.
- Installation of a Direct Gas-Fired 100% Outside Air Non-Recirculating heater.
- Casing construction from minimum 18 gauge G90 galvanized steel.
- Insulation with 1" thick foil-face fiberglass complying with UL standard 181.
- Access doors for maintenance with rustproof handles and quarter-turn latches.
- Supply air fan that is a Double-Width, Double-Inlet (DVWDI) forward curved centrifugal fan.
- A single-speed TEFC motor rated for continuous service at 120°F ambient temperature.
- Gas manifold constructed per ANSI standards including necessary valves and regulators.
- Compliance with all applicable OSHA standards and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and completion of installation by June 2, 2025.

Place of Performance
Installation will take place at the TDCJ Dalhart Unit located at 11950 FM 998, Dalhart, TX 79022.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance covering liability ($1,000,000), auto ($500,000), and worker's compensation as per statutory requirements. Bidders must also comply with Texas Government Code regarding procurement eligibility and must not be listed on any federal or state debarment lists. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a valid payee identification number (PIN) with their bid.
