IFB Wire EDM Machine

Background
This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued by Texas A&M University System for the procurement of a Linear Wire EDM Machine and associated accessories. The agency aims to enhance its operational capabilities through the acquisition of advanced laboratory equipment, specifically targeting precision machining applications. The specified brand and model are from Sodick, which are provided as a reference; however, equivalent products may also be considered.

Work Details
The contract includes the supply of the following items:

1. Linear Wire EDM Machine with specifications including:
- X-Axis Travel: 23.62” (600 mm)
- Y-Axis Travel: 15.75” (400 mm)
- Z-Axis Travel: 19.69” (500 mm)
- U, V Axis Travel: 3.54" x 3.54" (90 x 90 mm)
- Wire Diameter Range: 0.004” ~ 0.012” (0.10 ~ 0.30 mm)
- Features include Linear Motor Drive, Glass Scale Feedback, a 10-Year positioning accuracy guarantee, and a 15.1" LCD touch screen.

2. Accessories including:
- 22lb Large Spool Adapter
- .004 Guide set
- Taper Flex Neo
- Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor
- UPS System

3. Training services comprising three days of onsite training at Texas A&M.

4. Shipping costs must be included in the bid response and should cover all applicable tariffs, customs, duties, and fees.

Period of Performance
The items must be delivered prior to August 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
Delivery location is College Station, TX.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Executive Order GA-48 Supplier Certification regarding telecommunications and video surveillance restrictions as outlined in Section 889 of the NDAA and other related regulations. Additionally, bidders must provide a certificate of insurance prior to any work being performed at Texas A&M University System locations.
