IFB for Hydraulic Spray Boxes

Background
The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) is seeking bids for the procurement of two hydraulic spray boxes. The TAHC's mission is to protect and improve animal health in Texas. This contract aims to enhance their capabilities in managing cattle fever ticks through the use of specialized equipment.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of 2 custom hydraulic portable spray dip machines. Specifications include:
- Must be hot dipped galvanized.
- Overall dimensions: 7 feet wide x 9 feet long x 9 feet high with a 56-inch tongue hitch.
- Ramp dimensions: 86 inches long x 45 inches wide.
- Body constructed from ¼ inch hot roll plate sheared and formed.
- Hydraulically-operated entry & exit doors.
- Wood constructed hinged ramp on towing end.
- Torsion arm suspension self-contained within the axle tube, compatible with 16-inch 8-hole tires and wheels.
- Four side wind adjustable drop leg jacks for leveling.
- Equipped with a 2-5/16 A-frame coupler with an automatic collar-lok for level operation when pulled by various vehicles.
- All plumbing must be galvanized, and it should have DOT-approved LED lights.
- Spray nozzles made of solid brass, powered by a gas engine transfer pump with a minimum of 5.5 horsepower, capable of a maximum flow rate of 195 gallons per minute (GPM) and a maximum pressure of 45 PSI.
- Safety features include DOT-approved safety chains and ventilation for cattle treatment with vents aligned to cow nose height (approximately 36 inches from the bottom).
- Warranty: Minimum one year.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to begin upon award in July 2025, with specific delivery timelines to be established upon contract execution.

Place of Performance
Delivery will occur at the Texas Animal Health Commission's designated location in Austin, TX.

Bidder Requirements
