IFB 809-25-0007 Infrared Electrical Systems Survey

Background
The State Preservation Board (SPB), a State of Texas government agency, is soliciting bids for an Infrared Electrical Systems Survey.
The goal of this contract is to conduct a thorough inspection of electrical systems at various SPB properties to identify potential issues that could lead to failures or power disruptions.

Work Details
The contractor will perform an infrared electrical system survey at the following locations:
- Texas Capitol, Extension and Grounds
- Capitol Visitors Center (GLO Building)
- Bullock Texas State History Museum
- Texas State Cemetery
- Governor’s Mansion
- Capitol Visitors Parking Garage
- Capitol Mall
- Legislative Office Buildings (including Sam Houston Office Building, Robert E. Johnson Office Building and Garage, and John H. Reagan Office Building).

The survey will cover all high and low voltage electrical equipment as directed by SPB personnel. The contractor must document all problems detected during the survey, including loose connections, faulty equipment, overloaded circuits, and unbalanced loads. A report (both hard copy and electronic) must be provided upon completion of the survey, detailing procedures followed, areas surveyed, number of problems identified, and any serious issues noted. The report must also include the make, model, serial number of the imager used, and certification number of the thermographer performing the work.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to begin upon issuance of a purchase order following the bid award process.
The anticipated timeline for submission of bids is April 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations in Austin, Texas including the Texas Capitol complex and other designated SPB properties.
