HVAC System Replacement Project, North Forest Campus

Background
The Houston Community College (HCC) is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the HVAC System Replacement Project at the North Forest Campus. HCC serves a diverse community by providing educational opportunities and aims to enhance the indoor air quality and comfort of its facilities through this project.

The college is accredited to award associate and baccalaureate degrees and plays a significant role in improving the economic outcomes of its students.

Work Details
The project involves replacing three packaged air handling units (AHUs) that are reaching the end of their life, addressing humidity control issues, and upgrading the building automation system (BAS). The scope includes mechanical, electrical, and controls work as per specifications, factory start-up, and commissioning of the installation.

The contractor must also remove existing HVAC equipment and dispose of it according to regulations. The project will affect 16,000 sq. ft. of building area and includes:
1) Mechanical equipment removal;
2) New mechanical equipment material & installation;
3) Mechanical controls (BAS);
4) Electrical scope;
5) Plumbing scope;
6) Submittal requirements;
7) Warranty and maintenance closeout requirements;
8) General conditions.

Period of Performance
The contract duration will commence upon Notice to Proceed with substantial completion expected within a timeframe specified in the bid documents.

Houston Community College, North Forest Campus, Building A, located at 6010 Little York, Houston, TX 77016.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of three years relevant experience in similar projects, provide verifiable references for past contracts, and submit a detailed itemized bid including pricing sheets. They must also comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding performance bonds, insurance requirements, and safety programs.
