HVAC Mechanical Replacements Project, Central Campus

Background
The Houston Community College (HCC) is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the HVAC Mechanical Replacements Project at its Central Campus. This project aims to enhance the college's facilities by replacing outdated HVAC systems, thereby improving operational efficiency and comfort for students and staff.

HCC serves a diverse community, offering various educational programs and services across its nineteen campuses, which collectively span over 6.5 million square feet and serve approximately 85,858 students.

Work Details
The project involves the mechanical replacement of seventeen (17) air handler units (AHUs), associated equipment, and building automation system (BAS) controls. The BAS will be updated to the current Ecostruxure system. The work will cover an area of 71,600 square feet and includes:

- General Conditions
- Demolition of site and building as per drawings
- Thermal and Moisture Protection/Rigid Insulation as per drawings
- Roofing as per drawings
- Fireproofing as per drawings
- Fire Sprinkler installation as per drawings
- Plumbing as per drawings
- Mechanical/HVAC installation as per drawings
- Electrical work as per specifications
- Fire Alarm installation as per drawings
- Building Automation System installation as per specifications
- Final cleaning after project completion.

Additionally, the contractor must remove and properly dispose of existing HVAC equipment in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract duration will commence upon Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion expected within a specified number of calendar days that will be determined based on the contractor's bid.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at Houston Community College's Central Campus located at 1215 Holman St., Houston, TX 77004.
