Hotel Restaurant Design Services RFP

Background
Houston First Holdings LLC (HFH) is a local government corporation created by the City of Houston to promote economic growth through conventions, tourism, and the arts. HFH operates various venues including the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel, located at 1600 Lamar St., Houston, Texas 77010. The goal of this contract is to redesign a full-service hotel restaurant on the ground floor of the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel to create a vibrant new concept that caters to both hotel guests and local customers.

Work Details
The selected design team will provide comprehensive design services including architecture, interior architecture, engineering, and kitchen design. The redesign must include:
- Restaurant and bar service
- A market/grab-and-go component
- A flexible dual or multi-use space area
- Décor that differentiates the restaurant from the hotel lobby
- An iconic signage and design package
- Adherence to Hilton design standards.

The new restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with buffet and à la carte options. The existing restaurant space is approximately 5,107 square feet, with potential for an additional 2,000 square feet from lobby space. Initial services will focus on conceptual design, naming, brand visioning, identity development, and related pre-construction services.

Period of Performance
The contract's period of performance will commence upon selection of the contractor and is expected to extend into calendar year 2025 for construction commencement.

The work will be performed at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel located at 1600 Lamar St., Houston, Texas 77010.
