Hardware Lifecycle Services

Background
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking to solicit responses from interested vendors to provide Hardware Lifecycle Services. This initiative is part of TxDOT's ITD Transformation Program, which aims to integrate IT services in a secure and efficient manner, enhancing customer satisfaction and service delivery. The program envisions a collaborative governance framework that aligns with best practices in the industry.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for hardware lifecycle management, including the acquisition and delivery of desktops, laptops, workstations, monitors, and peripherals. Specific services include:

1) Ordering and receiving provisions;
2) Imaging;
3) Kitting/packing;
4) Inventory warehousing;
5) Warranty services;
6) Deployment;
7) Lifecycle support for asset management, warranty, redeployment, hardware refresh, and end-of-life activities such as device returns and retirement.

The vendor must also ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as outlined in the Service Level and Deliverables Matrix.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence following the award process, with specific timelines for transition and service commencement to be defined during negotiations.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations as determined by TxDOT's operational needs within Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate experience in providing similar services for a minimum of three years and have completed at least two major projects valued at $5 million or more within the last five years. Vendors must also comply with federal requirements regarding employment verification under the Immigration Reform Act and maintain Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) Level 2 Certification.
