Governor's Mansion Security Fence Upgrade and Extension

Background
The State Preservation Board (SPB) is requesting bids from qualified vendors to furnish labor and materials for the installation of a two pairs of telescoping gates with adjacent fencing, both of powder-coated steel construction, across Colorado Street at 10th and 11th streets in Austin, Texas. The estimated budget for the services described in this Request for Proposals (RFP) is $300,000.

Work Details
The work covered by the contract includes furnishing labor and materials for the installation of two pairs of telescoping gates with adjacent fencing, including all excavation, alterations to existing construction and irrigation, structural concrete, alterations to concrete and unit paver flatwork, and final landscape restoration.
The selected Contractor will provide all equipment, labor, coordination and supervisory activities necessary to complete the project as detailed in Attachment A: Scope of Work and Attachment B: Construction Documents.

Period of Performance
The services provided by the Contractor shall begin on a date determined by SPB, no earlier than the date the contract is executed by both parties. The contract will commence on May 1, 2024, and terminate on August 31, 2024 unless extended by agreement by both parties.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the contract will be performed is across Colorado Street at 10th and 11th streets in Austin, Texas.
